Do you "recondition" your tips?

I've found that it works pretty well to put a tip in a drillpress and use a file to reshape it down to bare copper.

Is the radio shack unit upgradable by the oem or do you have another remote which is?

If so, you might be able to save your setup, reset, get the upgrade from them and then save or transfer that to a jp1 remote.

Internal Server Error

Assume that Rob may have already seen it or someone who can connect him directly has done so, but he should probably be notified of the "Internal Server Error" which supports his advertisements.

Will send this to him as a private message as well.

Does the fact that you are posting in this section indicate you are not uploading to the remote using the jp1 connection?

If you are using jp1, ir.exe shows the macros under the macros tab.

Assuming the items shown in the last image are included, looks like

is a pretty good deal as these are the units I am using. Note that two additional ir emitters are shown in the image and those can be used with other ir extenders ...

I don't have a copy of of windows media edition but thanks for the heads up.

Sorry... should have included the following.

You don't need to be running windows media edition... just XPPro and install the media edition "IRRollup" on any XPPro box and plug in the EHome ir dongle.

Toggling the Aspect Ratio on an Optoma Projector

For some unknown reason, Optoma elected to omit an "Aspect Ratio Toggle" button for the 719 which all other projectors I have worked with to date have on the remote.

It takes 11 commands to open the menu, navigate to the aspect ratio setting, toggle ...

my 2 cents...

Pick up some "paint pens" from a hardware, hobby shop or hardware store and use them.

The paints will not remain on the rubber/sillycone keytops, so, a better approach is the op's coloring location adjacent to the keys using the pens to generate a spot. A knife tip can be used to ...

In addition to robman's suggestion, one tool which has been valuable for me has been a windows media center (EHome) ir dongle coupled with the hid software from;

Power HEX 383C EFC 03065

That's the "standard" pioneer "power toggle"... see the prior response as I think that is your best path.

I would start using a current urc remote and trying the built in default commands for the different pioneers... if you buy an upgradable oneforall remote, their telephone tech support has been pretty good at getting the closest device or telephone upgrading the remote for a newer pioneer code ...

I'm pretty much a newbie here, so sure others will provide more info.

Device: Pioneer HTS-GS1

While I don't have that exact pioneer model, pioneer has been pretty good at retaining ir compatibility between different amps.

Copla questions...

What are your goals... i.e. do you just want to power ...
