unit1 and unit2 both worked on two of my ReplayTV remotes branded with the "SonicBlue replaytv" logo. However, I have a 3rd remote without the "SonicBlue" logo (just replaytv) on which the unit1 file won't upload (I haven't tried unit2). Besides the logo difference, the units appear identical ...

I guess I should re-read the FAQ to see if this follow-up question is answered there, but what is the 6-pin connector for? Feel free to not answer since I haven't done any due diligence.

I recently purchased the JP1-to-USB cable. It came with a 12-pin male-to-male header. What is this for? My JP1 remotes don't use 12 pins.

So I've changed remote1 (of 2) using IR.exe and Rob's file for unit1 . Then, on RTV1 (of 2) I used my remaining "normal" remote (remote #2) to do 243+Zones, set the Remote Lockout Code to 101, saved settings, and pressed 101+Zones on the remote1. Nada. RTV1 is still responding to remote2 but not ...

...IIRC I must turn off the RTV (just hit the power switch or do a cold-reboot?), then turn it on and press any key on the newly programmed remote while it's aimed at the unit I turned off.. is that accurate?
Nope old news... that was the 2xxx/3xxx Replays. Good guess though. Try it and see what ...

I'm looking at the files now... did you simply code the code on the General tab for the RTV from 1614 to 1615/1616, or did you change other stuff, too? (I'm a total JP1 noob so am trying to learn a little).

Also, I know I need to tell the RTV about the new code.... IIRC I must turn off the RTV ...
