JP1 Remotes

I've been out of the JP1 picture for a while now and thought I'd catch up a bit.
I just wanted to check with you all as to what are some of the newer how-to's and guides that you guys are using to setup that perfect remote?

daveoram - thanks for taking a shot at this. However, the IR signal works perfectly. It is the RF base station where I am having problems with. I'm not sure whether it is the signal from remote to base (RF) or the signal from base to devices (IR).
